My massages have been described ‘like the ocean waves lapping upon the shore.’ This is because I have studied LomiLomi massage and it forms the basic foundation of my massage onto which I add in from various sources. Both physical and spiritual in nature LomiLomi pays respects to whole of who you are; creating right relationships between disparaged parts.
While massage can be a perfect treat or an excellent way to promote wellness for you, it is also great for releasing tension and relieving aches and pains. Massage, as a part of your regular wellness plan, can help to prevent injury, reduce stress and anxiety, and be the gift you give to yourself. It can be your own oasis and your chance to recharge.
With a background in injury treatment and my specialization in trigger point therapy I am also happy to bring all my skills to assess and address your pain, tension, and chronic injuries. I can create a session that is unique to you and your concerns and can even include instruction in self-treatment and suggestions for what you can do at home to continue your process outside of sessions.
Methods I employ during massage include: Swedish, Lomilomi, Myofascial Release, CranioSacral, Trigger Point Therapy, Pin and Stretch, and other various modalities and approaches. I am certified in Trigger Point Therapy as well as intra-oral certified. I have been a licensed massage practitioner since 2005.
I offer three lengths of sessions:
- 1 hour . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $75
- 75 minutes . . . . . . . . . . . $85
- 90 minutes . . . . . . . . . . $100
While I do provide work that is specific, treatment oriented, and can impact deeper body structures, I do not use the terms ‘deep tissue’ or work with the intent of force. There is no common understanding of what deep tissue work is; deeper tissues of the body are impacted with some of the most subtle approaches. Firm pressure and force are not the same things. I work with your body to ease into deeper structures. If you are looking to ‘be beat up’ or to have ‘all your sore spots rubbed out’ I may not be the therapist for you. That’s okay, there are a lot of therapists and a lot of approaches, I support you finding what you need.
I do not bill insurance but am happy to provide you with a receipt at the time of payment if you choose to submit them to your insurance. Please check with your insurance first to find out their policies.
