Aura refers to the entirety of your energy field.

A healthy aura resembles an egg shape and exists all through and surrounding your body even over your head and underneath your feet. It extends about an arm’s length in every direction and consists of many layers, each having its own properties and frequencies.

Within the layers of your aura are many colors. The colors represent different energies. There are also packets of energy known as symbols and matching pictures.

The odd layers extending through and from your body are more structured whereas the even layers are more fluid. Each layer coming towards the body is more dense. Think of it as bridging from spirit to more incarnate.

As I work from a seventh chakra centered approach to the energy field, I experience that each layer associates with a chakra for example the first layer is associated with the first chakra, the second chakra with the second layer and on.

Ideally, the first layer extends just a few inches, and each layer extends further and further out until it makes up the entire form.

An aura can be extended out much larger than the healthy shape, or shrunken in size, this is true of the entirety of the aura as well as each layer. For example, someone who experiences a lot of physical pain, may have a first chakra that is shrunken within the body. Someone who is very sensitive to emotions or the pain of others may have an aura that is extended far away from their body and therefore more diffuse. These two aura issues can be experienced by the same individual at the same time.

A distressed aura may have rips, tears, holes, dents and any manner of damage. This can be reflected in the experience of the human who has that aura but may not be easily identified without attending to it.

Energy should flow freely throughout the field but it can become sluggish, sticky, stuck, and less flowing. It can leak between layers and also out beyond the edges. The aura can be shifted through awareness and intention. It is possible to access each layer individually and to experience your aura as a whole.
