Create the space for listening.

Find the time and space to listen to the reading in full without taking notes. It might mean notifying others in the vicinity that you need time to work on something without interruption so that you can listen to the reading in full.

Be Prepared to Be Comfortable

If you can, use headphones. Find a place where you can sit comfortably. Sit upright with your feet on the floor. That will help you to stay present and awake.

It may be helpful to have water as well just in case you get thirsty. Even a blanket or something to cover up with, in case you get cold. Those are two things that could distract you from listening.

Use a grounding meditation, like the one linked below this post, before listening. During the reading check back in with your grounding.

You can close your eyes or allow your eyes to be soft so that the room around you is vague, which will help you to focus within.

Taking Notes

The first time through, allow yourself to listen to the full reading. You may wish to have a notebook nearby so that you can journal afterwards but try to refrain from journaling while reading.

Taking notes or focusing too much on the words during the first listen can distract you from receiving.

Notice

You may notice how you feel. Are there places you feel sleepy or tired? That could be a sign of resistance. Noticing how you feel can help you to connect more deeply to the parts that have meaning. Strong emotions; either dislike or agreement, can signal places of great importance.

Just notice. Notice if you have discomfort in your body, notice where you may feel or experience distraction and just let it go. Allow discomfort to drop down your grounding.

Remember, the reading is done for your highest good. Just notice and let it go.

Grounding will help you to take it in. Allow what comes up to just drop effortlessly down your grounding.

Present Time and Aging

You will be prompted to remind yourself of the date and your age, having the date written down near you can help if you forget.

Remember to repeat the date you are listening, which could be different from the date of the reading.

Imagine and Allow

Ultimately, you hold the answers you seek. You can discern what is correct for you. If there are parts that don’t resonate, hold those lightly. It can be that they do not resonate because they do not apply, or it could be that the wisdom has not fully dropped in and that can change with time.

As you listen, you can imagine your energy clearing. Let old, outdated energy flow down your grounding cord.

Download Your Recording

Remember as well that the reading is yours and you can listen as often as you would like. The recording will be available online for 30 days, but downloading the recording to your own device will allow you to keep it forever.

Reviewing to either take notes later, or even after awhile after the first reading can lead to new insights.

Give yourself a bit of time before listening again. Then you may wish to take notes, or capture how you feel, or where you have questions. If something is unclear, or you experience confusion, there may be a question to ask. You have one week to ask. I will not do an entirely new reading but can connect back to provide additional information as required.

Know that the healing portions will happen regardless. Trust the process. Mostly though focus on being present and listening. Grounding is best way to do so.

Finally

Make it yours. Take the advice here and do what you need to get the most out of your reading.

Enjoy.
